Cine Novelist: questions
Short answers before you open the desk.
What it is
A governed writing-and-packaging desk for a film that isn't yet a film. It carries work from unstable idea to irreversible choice: on the page, in the bible, in the room, and after the lights come up. It isn't a studio, and it isn't a substitute for a producer, lawyer or completion bond.
Who it's for
Writers, producers and directors carrying a feature, short, pilot or limited series who need a desk that won't flatter the file.
Seats and credits
Writer is a personal desk: pages, coverage, and a bible that stays a bible. Producer is the working seat, with room for a slate, a board and a package. House is a room: sustained inquiry, a house style, more than one film in motion. Included credits reset each month. Packs don't expire. Burn included credits first, then packs. Ask is one pass. Coverage and Deep Review cost more because they do more work. Stills, motion and voice are metered as use.
FIA Plan is the alternative house seat across the seven FIA Labs desks, with 1,000 credits each period and Federation included.
Not advice
Finance mode is a financing story (what a buyer or board will misread), not a term sheet. Board and Money modes flag fragility. They don't replace a line producer, entertainment lawyer or insurer.
Brainstorm
Brainstorm is a session you steer with another brain. The talk is saved as talk, never as page evidence. Pick a beat and send it to Develop, the ending record, the Bible, a constraint, Market or Pitch. Each Send is a confirmed Ask and spends normal credits. From a scratch session, the first Send creates the project from three fields: form, the sentence, and what must not be betrayed.
Generated stills and motion
Imagine, Video and Voice pack a pitch. Generated frames and motion are hypotheses until a human adopts them. They don't finish a picture the pages haven't earned, and they aren't a substitute for production design, boarded coverage or a cut.
Installing the desk
Install from pro.cinenovelist.com on Mac (File → Add to Dock in Safari, or the install icon in Chrome), iPhone or iPad (Share → Add to Home Screen), Windows (Chrome or Edge) or Android (menu → Install app). The icon opens the desk, not the brochure.
Questions
Does Cine Novelist do script coverage?
Yes. Coverage diagnoses the whole file, with page, gap and hypothesis labelled apart, and names designed discomfort and defect separately.
What formats can I bring?
Paste a draft, or bring a PDF, Final Draft or Fountain file.
Do I need a card to begin?
No. Sign up and confirm your email, and new accounts get 150 free credits.
What does Upload a take do?
Performance reads the sides and the audio of a take in three lines: the page, the timestamped transcript, and a read. Emotion isn't scored, and the scene isn't rewritten.
Will it rewrite my film into something safer?
No.
